Timur’s code (Temur Tuzuklari) was written during the lifetime of Amir Timur. This most valuable historical source of the Middle Ages consists of two parts: “Autobiography” telling about the life of the great ruler from the age of seven, and “Code” (or “Institutes” of Timur, his judgments and advices on various, mainly political and military, issues). The edition is a valuable set of laws on governance the state and the army, the country and the society, which shows the basis of which he created a centrally managed powerful state.
