The monograph presents results of the study of a bright period in the history of movement of local lore in Altai when certain organizations of local lore worked in the region. Basing his research on documentary archive materials, part of which are introduced into scientific use for the first time, the author discovers the cooperation and mutual work of the organizations in the study of nature, history, and economy of the region. Biographies of some famous experts in the study of local lore are given in the book.
