The collective monograph was based on the reports presented at the International Scientific Conference “Princes Wittgenstein and their possessions in the 19th century”, which was held at the Mir Castle Complex Museum on November 27-28, 2015. The monograph brings up a little-studied history topic in Belarus. Princes Wittgenstein - owners of the Mir Castle in the XIX century, who are descendants of the Radzivils princes on the female line. The publication reflects various aspects of the activities of the representatives of the genus: management of estates in various regions of the Russian Empire, patronage of arts and collecting works of art.
