The Veneti: Indo-European Context
The monograph comprises a series of internally connected essays dedicated to one of the most ancient Indo-European peoples — the Veneti (also known as Eneti or Veneds). Drawing on written sources, archaeological, ethnographic, anthropological, toponymic data, as well as findings from genetics, the authors explore the origins, settlement patterns, and historical fate of this people.
The book introduces new archaeological and anthropological materials into scholarly circulation, along with a toponymic database (including maps and tables with precise geodetic coordinates) related to the distribution of the Eneti/Veneti/Veneds.
