The author used to be a member of the Ukrainian Rebellious Army (UPA) and the book represents his memoirs on the activities of the UPA and mostly on the members of the Army who died or had to emigrate after the defeat of the Army. The story told in the book contributes to recreating the picture of the events of those years.
