From the introduction: "The heroine of this monograph is Hanka Swiezawska, largely unknown to the Polish public. Like many other figures from our history, she should be included in school textbooks, and certainly in academic textbooks. However, she remains absent to this day. Perhaps because her life was primarily a backdrop to front-page events, but there were also moments when she became the leading heroine of the day. Thanks to her, the most important issues for Poland experienced a significant acceleration. Therefore, at this moment in our history, all the spotlight should be focused on her face and youthful courage.
