The book describes the combat operations of the 8th Air Corps as part of the 36th Long-Range Aviation Division (108th Air Regiment and the 28th Guards Long-Range Aviation Regiment (108 ap dd, 28 Gbap dd)) and the 48th Air Division long-range (109th Aviation Regiment and 30th Guards Aviation Regiment, long-range 109 ap dd, 20 Gbap dd), departing from the airfields Lida, Schuchin, Cherlena, Dubno, Zheludok, located in the territory of the modern Grodno region for purposes in the Baltic States, Hungary, Poland and Germany from September 1944 to March 1945 . The heart of the book are archival documents, memoirs of participants and witnesses of the events, as well as the results of the author's field expeditions to the places of the crash.
