Marina Eskina is a poet and translator. She was born in Leningrad and immigrated to Boston, USA, in 1990. Her works regularly appear in literary journals and almanacs in the United States, Russia, and other countries.
She published a book of children's verse in English “Explanation of a Firefly.”(2012). She is a finalist of the First poetry competition established by Joseph Brodsky Fund in St. Petersburg, Russia, 2014.
“The Stolen Air” (Kradenyi Vozdukh) is Marina’s fourth book of poetry in Russian, following “Krai zemli” (1996), “Koliuchii svet” (2002), “Strannyi soiuznik” (2014). It includes new poems written in 2014-1016, and translations from American poet Elizabeth Bishop.
