The book is dedicated to Kelora, an ancient Siberian village located in the Zhigalovsky district of the Irkutsk region. Founded in the second half of the 17th century by Russian Cossack explorers, it existed for over 300 years. But in the 1970s of the last century, it fell into the category of "unpromising" - and almost disappeared from the face of the earth. The book includes materials collected by local ethnographers, and the memories of the inhabitants of Kelora.
