Apart from the already known sources, the book is based on nearly 500 previously unpublished documents consisting of a number of photographs, memories and eye witnesses’ evidence. Having studied newly revealed historical materials related to the Romanovs’ life, the authors analyzed the facts carefully and made sensational conclusions that in many aspects are contradictory to a well-established version of the events.
