The publication is a set of probes into the history of Slovakia and Slovaks with the aim of showing how Christianity shaped society, nation and state. In the general part devoted to the influence of Christianity on society, it deals with the origin and character of the state, the separation of the sacred and profane spheres of Western society, the rights of the state, its spiritual essence and ethical basis. It also discusses the themes of human rights, peace and conflict, and the renewal of society in terms of the role of the state. It examines the Christian origins of culture among the Slavs, the origins of the seven-day week, and the influence of ancient Christianity on the Slavs. It traces the transformation of the Cyril and Methodius idea in Slovak history, the beginnings of the worship of Cyril and Methodius, the transformation of the religious Cyril and Methodius cult into a national tradition, and the political dimension of the Cyril and Methodius cult. Among other things, it also provides answers to the questions of when we have been called Slovaks, how our ancestors contributed to the establishment of the Christian Hungarian state, whether we were defeated or co-creators of the state, whether we welcomed the ancient Hungarians hospitably or were conquered by the Hungarians. He does not shy away from the topic of Hungarian patriotism among the Slovaks, the contribution of the Reformation and Recatholization to the formation of the Slovaks, the influence of religion on the concept of the written language of the Slovaks.
