The collection of articles covers topical problems of Russian society development and its cooperation with the Russian authorities. Four parts of the collection present different aspects of this subject: civil society, public policy, human rights and human rights institutes, evolution of public sphere in Russia. The articles of the collection were reported at the Fourth Russian congress of political scientists (October 20-22, 2006), and were also discussed at the meetings of the research committees of the Russian Political Science Association.
