The main character Ivanko and his friends find themselves in the past and help the Cossacks find their treasure, which was torn apart by the enemies. The young heroes find themselves in the midst of the Cossack struggle with the invaders: Tatars, Poles, Muscovites.
The second part of the story - "The Sich Legend" - tells about the adventures of the same heroes who have already grown up. They again find themselves in the past - now in the times of the Sich Riflemen and their struggle for our state.
