The book is devoted to the Nogays and their role in foreign-policy processes concerned with strengthening of Russian positions in Caucasus, Krym and the Volga region in the XVth - XVIIIth centuries. Beginning and development of relations with Russia, aims and methods of Russian politics in the mentioned regions, formation of the Nogay state (the Nogay Horde) and ethnos, social and economic relations, etc. are inquired. Special emphasis is put on insufficiently known questions of Nogays interrelations with Russia, the Osman Empire and Krym in this period.
