The first complete scientific publication of the book by S. Bronevskiy “The Newest History about Caucasus” which consists of two volumes. Volume 1 contains materials of geographical and ethnographical character. Volume 2 describes political relations between Russia and Caucasus, Iran and Turkey from the middle of the XVIth century up to the beginning of the XIXth century. The work is based on rare sources and archival materials of the Collegium of Foreign Affairs. Being a witness of the events of the end of XVIII-XIX centuries the author shares his own considerations, observations and opinion. This book is aptly considered to be a brief encyclopedia on Caucasus.
