This is a collection of feuilletons (satirical think-pieces) and articles by Bulgarian writer and politician Trifon Kunev (1880-1954), first published between the autumn of 1945 and the early spring of 1947. The book highlights Kunev's presence as an opposition figure in Bulgarian politics and literature after the communist takeover in September 1944. It includes about 20 articles, feuilletons and documents that have never been published in book form before as well as works that have. For the first time, readers will find texts about a severe beating which Kunev suffered in the editorial office of the "Narodno Zemedelsko Zname" newspaper, and writings published in that paper after his arrest and subsequent release in 1946.
