The monograph inquires into the motif of Home and its meaning in Romanticism correlated to the motif of Path. Furthermore, a number of works of the Russian romantic prose of the 1820s - 1830s as well as foreign, mainly, German romantic literature are reviewed in terms of the above aspect. The motif is disclosed in its national specificity and evolution starting from the early to the later Russian Romanticism.
