The book presents historical portraits of Ermak's comrades: atamans and their descendants, notable personalities of the "rebellious age". Portraits of representatives of the first generations of Siberians from the Belarusian and Ukrainian peoples, immigrants from the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the Crimean Khanate, the Ottoman Empire and other countries are given.
