This book explores the thesis that contemporary conflicts in the Middle East region, including the extremely low standard of living, cause two main crises - terrorism and migration, which are the result of the outlined foreign policy strategies of the United States of America and their conceptual understanding that outside their territory they can pursue policies to guarantee their own national security by supporting governments with a pro-Western orientation, and to overthrow inconvenient regimes through the use of military force, while proclaiming at the same time democratic values and the fight against international terrorism. Military and civil conflicts in the Middle East create serious challenges for their resolution by Arab and European countries, including the Bulgarian state.
