This monograph is devoted to one of the central events of Czech and European history at the early New time, namely, to struggle of protestant classes of the Czech kingdom against the ruling Austrian dynasty for strengthening of political and religious privileges in the first quarter of the XVIIth century. It provides a thorough analysis of the reasons and character of the crisis in the relations between Czech classes and the Habsburgs. The main stages of their confrontation are well-covered. Special attention is given to the connection of the events in Czech with general political and religious development of Europe of that epoch.
