The author elucidates destinies of Russian poets in the tragic 1930s against the background of the pre-war Moscow. The narration grounds on little-known archival data and oral memoirs by M.Belkina, L.Libedinskaya and other contemporaries of B.Pasternak, V.Lugovskoy, N.Tikhonov and D.Petrovsky - poets, who were united by friendship and similar creative positions but as the fate has willed, found themselves on opposite poles. The book is enhanced with rare photos from personal archives of the above poets, their relatives and friends.
