Raina Kabaivanska (born 1934) is one of the most distinguished opera artists of our time. The Bulgarian soprano's brilliant career has taken her to all major opera venues around the globe. She is particularly respected in Italy, where she has worked extensively. The book is about the master classes which Kabaivanska has led at Sofia's New Bulgarian University for 20 years.
