The paper examines the dominant forms of rational cognition in modern European-American culture in unity with specific configurations of the psyche and attitudes of activity corresponding to the matrices of rational rationality. It is concluded that the features of rationality of late industrialism and patterns of psychology associated with the matrices of the implementation of such rationality reproduce a high level of conflict in attempts to combine opposites. Modern awareness in its entirety requires a fundamental transformation, without which conflicts will be reproduced, despite the best wishes.
