The book is a publication of the manuscripts of the Ust-Kachka local historian I.P. Zelenin (1882-1962), dated March-April 1951, and the family of teachers of the Ust-Kachka school, the Myshkins. Author's text edited by O.G. Gaidash is supplemented with comments and separate documents. The book describes the peasant world of the village of Ust-Kachka XIX - early. XX centuries, with its social structure, family way of life, everyday worries, mores and customs, with events and traditions deposited in the collective memory.
