65 years ago, on the terrible days of October 19, 20 and 23, 1943, the Nazis completed a bloody massacre - they destroyed the last prisoners of the Minsk ghetto. Over 100 thousand Jews died in this ghetto. But there were witnesses. There are people who, bit by bit, by grain collected evidence of the atrocities of the fascists. Only a few remained, who happened to get out alive from this slaughter. Collecting materials about my father, Mikhail Gebelev, the leader of an underground organization, secretary of the underground district ghetto of the Minsk ghetto, I met many people who knew him. With people who have heard of him. And just with those who were behind the barbed wire of the Minsk ghetto. And with those who, at the behest of the heart, tried to convey to people the truth about these terrible days. There were people who saved the Jews. They are called the Righteous Among the Nations. This title truly deserves the Belarusian woman Anna Pavlovna Kupreeva, who committed a civil feat in the name of truth, in the name of the prisoners of the Minsk ghetto, of the entire Jewish people.
