Vasil Levski, the Apostle of Freedom of Bulgaria, lived in this world only 35 years before crossing the threshold of immortality. The humble hieromonk Neofit Kalchev lived through the Liberation, but never flaunted his services to the homeland. He continues to do what he does best - to heal people and to be a teacher. Life confronts him with humiliations, persecutions, difficulties. But also with royal honors. He was personally awarded by the Bulgarian Tsar Ferdinand I and the Russian Emperor Nicholas II. Neofit Kalchev created and published the first Bulgarian encyclopedia of folk medicine, part of which is included in this edition. He treats thousands of people without asking for money.
