The figurative notion of the title of this book describes hanging as a bundle of unordered and unstabilized possibilities that are subject to composition in the perspective of reader activity. In this sense, the hanging fields fulfill the role of a kind of (receptive) nests: around their absent core, but guarding the idea of virtual presence, various developments have taken place, while other developments have been refused, suspended, blocked, temporarily or permanently redirected. From another point of view, hanging fields are the leitmotif zones (the satirical, the pop, the romantic, the religious, the contemporary, etc.) on the basis of which the tradition creates sections of networks. The very question of what and why is caught in these networks of tradition, what and why remains uncaught (or under-caught) is also hanging. And so – developed in this way, the hanging metaphor is freed from its potential negative flavor. Hanging is the construction of the nest in which the literary (our) production nests. Hanging fixtures are the nets of tradition. Hanging is also the very long duration in which art lives.
