In the course of study of the history of building of the Great Siberian Way the author came to the conclusion that the former Czar Nicholas II played a truly tremendous role in the construction of the railroad. Having collected thorough materials, V.Koptelov arranges them in four major parts: data on the tour of the successor to the throne round Siberia; milestones of the building of the Great Siberian Railway; a tragic visit of the czar's family to Siberia in August 1917 - April 1918. In conclusion the book unfolds the history of long-suffering construction of the Railway Tyumen - Tobol'sk and the czar’s participation in its acceptance.
