Anda Bukvic Paћin is a literary translator and university lecturer. She received her PhD from the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. She translates prose, non-fiction and children's literature from German and English and writes essays and reviews for literary and cultural magazines and portals. She works on encouraging reading and literature for children and young people from a theoretical, practical and translational perspective. Within the Society of Croatian Literary Translators, she designs and leads a number of projects dealing with teaching literary translation and establishing translation criticism. She is the recipient of the Ministry of Culture's "Iso Velikanovic" Award in 2019 and the DHKP's "Josip Tabak" Award in 2023.
Marija Ott Franolic is an independent literary critic and theorist. She received her PhD from the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. Theoretically, she deals with the connection between reading, thinking and empathy. She was a member of the Commission for the Development of the National Strategy for Encouraging Reading at the Ministry of Culture. She leads reading encouragement projects and lectures on the importance of reading throughout Croatia. She launched the section Recommendations for quality picture books on the Moderna vremena portal. She is the author of the book Diary Aiming for the Unattainable: Everyday Life in Women's Records (Disput, 2016). She writes the literary blog Tekstovnica.
