A multi-author monograph reflects results of the study supported by RSF grant № 20-17-00069 «The geographical basis of a spatial development in the agricultural post-virgin regions in Ural and Siberia».
The monograph pays a special attention to generalization and development notions about natural and socio-economic conditions of steppe and post-virgin lands regions of Ural and Western Siberia, ideas concerning geographical reasons of territorial planning in steppe regions of Russia. It allowed offering suggestions on rational use of natural resource potential, and development of the network of strictly protected natural territories in steppe zone of the Asian part of Russia.
