The research topic was inspired by the dynamics of 1920 events that significantly affected both Lithuania and the whole of Eastern Europe (the war between Poland and Soviet Russia, the Spa Conference, the Treaty of Moscow between Lithuania and Soviet Russia, the Treaty of Riga between Poland and Soviet Russia, General L. Zeligowski's march to Vilnius). The historical picture was significantly enriched by the factor of the Anglo-Russian geopolitical axis.
