This book describes the first writers of Siberia. The author’s view is subjective; to his mind the first writer of the Yenisei region was Protopope Avvakum. In addition, the collection tells about such little-known personalities as Savva Yesipov, Semyon Remizov, Fedor Simonov, and contains a number of excerpts from their works.
