Based on documentary sources, the book tells about the difficult fate of the Kornilov family at the turn of times, which, like in a mirror, reflects the history of a great country. Here we can see the examples of collectivization, and industrialization, and the bond between the city and the countryside, and the mass repressions of 1937-1938.
