In the monograph features of the development of demographic processes in the Komi Republic for the last decade are examined. The impact of changes of age structure of the population, previous trends of demographic development and adverse socio-economic context, which has caused deterioration of conditions of realization of the demographic choice of the population, and the change of models of demographic behavior on the level of demographic parameters are defined. The consequences of modern demographic crisis, conditions necessary for going out from it, and prospects of demographic development of the Komi Republic are estimated.
