This book is a photographic journal about the everyday lives of reindeer herders of the Severo-Evensk District of the Magadan Region (Russia).The main focus is on the reindeer herders of the 1st, 4th, 5th. 7th and 10th reindeer brigades of the state farm Irbychan"; the villagers residing in Garmanda.Gizhiga and Evensk Communities. This book based on the photographs taken by Magadan City photographer Andrey Osipov during several special expeditions to the reindeer herders remote camps. Probably the one who lives among reindeer people would tell this story differently, but this narrative is interesting precisely because it was created by an outsider, a person who recently came to the tundra and. therefore, who is still observing with great curiosity the Native peoples' way of life, the relationships between the older generations and the younger, customs and holidays, and every unique part of their daily lives. Documenting the daily life of reindeer herders is a statement of fact and the basis for this book. This book is the only project of its kind for the last 15 years.
