The publication The Era of Samizdat is the second part of the edition Anthology of Slovak Samizdat, the aim of which is to comprehensively map and analyze the Slovak samizdat published during the reign of the communist regime. In his publication, the author analyzes Christian samizdats that were published in the environment of the Fatima community. Specifically, the samizdats Jubilee Year, Religion and the Present, The Youth Supplement, The Catholic Monthly and ZRNO, while the first issue of each samizdat is published in the anthology within the appendix. The core of the publication is a synthesizing text that analyzes the content and thematic aspects of Christian samizdats and balances their publication, including a network of distributors or quantitative data such as the cost of samizdat, the number of pages printed or the resources necessary to publish them. The author also analyzes the attitude of the communist regime and especially the activities of the State Security [secret police] against the publication of samizdat literature. The book also includes a photographic appendix, which, in addition to the presentation of personalities involved in the publication of the samizdat, also contains photographs of printing machines and places where they hid from the State Security.
