Many events of World War II are still unknown or confused, thousands of people have disappeared, large fortunes have not been found, disputes over the events of that time still cause conflicts. One of such confusing stories was the place and circumstances of the death of Major Paul Maitla for decades. While in the 1990s it seemed that the story had been resolved, unfortunately the contradictions related to the death of this officer still remain and are waiting to be resolved. Next year will be the 80th anniversary of Paul Maitla's death.
