The monograph examines the main indicators characterizing crime in the North Caucasian Federal District. The general state of crime (volume, level, dynamics) is analyzed, its structural characteristics are considered in detail: crimes against the person, in the economic sphere, as well as a number of others that are traditionally the object of criminological analysis. The most typical signs of the socio-demographic picture of crime (by gender and age criteria, in relation to criminal recidivism, etc.) are characterized. Regional features of crime determination are revealed with the compilation of a comprehensive diagnostic map of criminal phenomena and the processes that determine them.
