The memoirs of the hereditary reindeer breeder Nikolai Ivanovich Tynetegin (1937–2020) contain ethnographic observations reflecting the characteristic features of the life of the Kamchatka Koryaks-Chavchuvens in the second half of the 20th century. N. I. Tynetegin talks about the difficulties of reindeer herding, describes in detail family and hunting rituals. The book is based on more than two hundred interviews recorded by T. A. Golovaneva from N. I. Tynetegin in the period from 2017 to 2020. All texts are transcribed from audio recording and divided into semantic fragments. A stylistic correction has been made to the narratives of a historical and biographical nature. The book also presents fairy tales in the Chavchuven dialect of the Koryak language performed by N. I. Tynetegin. National texts are accompanied by morphemic translation (glossing), which is necessary for specialists in the field of comparative and typological linguistics.
