“"The Constitutional Debate in the Bulgarian Parliament in the 19th Century" is the beginning of a new series of NBU. Even at that time, the Bulgarian National Assembly, in both its forms - the Simple National Assembly and the Grand National Assembly - engaged in a constitutional change. The two cases under consideration differs in their end. If there is only an attempt in the first one, there is a real change in the second. The book reveals the debate in the parliament by trying to present the various opinions and the developed arguments. The specific changes - the number of the deputies, the length of the parliamentary term, etc. – even today they are of interest to the society. That is why I hope the interest is not only amongst professional historians and lawyers, but also among a wider audience.” – the author.
