This publication is a 1917 edition of a set of decisions of the highest court of the Russian Empire, the Governing Senate, on criminal cases, interrupted by the revolutionary events. The decisions are given in a form as close as possible to that practiced by the Senate at the time, including indexes of the laws and persons involved in the cases. The publication concludes with a brief sketch of the work of the Senate in 1917 and a description of the collapse of the judicial system after the Bolsheviks came to power.
