Based on a huge amount of previously unknown sources, the author shows confrontation on the Nizhneudinsk and Baikal fronts between the `Eastern detachment of the Czechoslovak troops` and the Central Siberian Corps on the one hand and the Siberian Red Army of Central Siberia on the other. The accompanying events in Yakutia, on the Kirensky front, the retreat of Soviet troops in Transbaikalia and the Amur region in August-September 1918 are also described. Much attention is paid to the chronology, detailed analysis of hostilities, the history of Soviet armed formations and their command staff.
