The author of the monograph examines the concept of term “civil society” and the interdependence of various normative models of civil society with different structures, institutes and historical traditions of Russia. The author analyzes the ways of interpretation of the civil society phenomenon and uncovers the mutual influence of the civil society and the state. Particular attention is paid to the questions of development of civil society in the context of socio-cultural transformation of modern Russia.
