Documents of the General Description of Left Bank Ukraine 1765–1769 dedicated to the city of Konotop of the Konotop Hundred of the Nizhyn Regiment were published for the first time in the publication. They contain valuable information about the socio-economic relations, farms, number, age, origin and family ties of the inhabitants of this micro-region of the Hetman Oblast. The first book included documents relating to the Cossack chairmen and clergy. The second book includes documents dedicated to the rank-and-file Cossacks.
