the events that took place in the Saratov Volga region from the late 1920s to the mid-1960s of the 20th century. Relying on a large number of diverse sources, the authors vividly describe the struggle of the authorities with numerous religious organizations of various confessional
orientation, with church servants and ordinary believers, a struggle accompanied by cruelty and mass repression. As a result, it was not possible to exterminate religion and faith, because faith, as an internal human need, cannot be killed by directives, prohibitions and repressions.
