The documents reviewed on the pages of the book were written by Belarusian writers, artists, cultural figures, both well-known and little-known personalities, whose work constitutes national cultural heritage. Apparently, some of their appeals to the highest ideological and actually the main state authority were of a private nature. But for the solution of this or that important issue for creativity, there was nowhere to turn, except to the Central Committee. Many of the documents presented here testify to the position of the creative intelligentsia, its desire to do something useful for the entire society of Belarus. We could consider this correspondence only from the point of view of today's day.
