The monograph 'The Calendar Rites of Zakamie Udmurts' represents the first generalizing historical and ethnographic research of the calendar rites of Zakamie Udmurts. Chronological boundaries of it embrace the second half of the XVIIIth and the XXth centuries. It was written on the basis of field material, collected by the author in all local Udmurt groups of North-Western districts of the Republic of Bashkortostan and Kuedinski district of the Perm oblast. The author represents the comparison of material on calendar rites in the other ethnic and ethnographic groups of Udmurts living the republic of Udmurtia, Tatarstan, Mari El, Kirovskaia oblast and Krasnoiarski krai.
