The book serves as an encyclopedia of the military operations that took place on the territory of Kabardino-Balkaria from August 1942 to January 1943, during the period of Nazi occupation. It provides a detailed account of all combat actions in the region, with particular emphasis on the most significant battles: for the city of Nalchik, on Height 910, in the area of Zayukovo, the Kurp Heights, and the passes of the Greater Caucasus Ridge.
It is important to recall that during the defense of Kabardino-Balkaria, the total losses of Soviet forces exceeded 30,000 soldiers, with more than 2,000 killed during the liberation.
