The collection contains archaeographic names of the Zaporozhye Cossacks in 1776, 1778, 1779, 1782. and a set of accompanying documentation. The historical sources, which became the object of publication, record the personal composition of a significant part of the Cossacks, contain important information about the Cossacks 'seizure of the territory of Zaporozhye, the network of settlements in some of its parts, the fate of the elders' layer in the late 1770s at the beginning of the 1780s.
