In the history of Russian art, the stone architecture of the Lower Dvina is rightfully distinguished by the brightest architectural examples of the 17th-18th centuries. The book tells about two stone temple ensembles of the Ukhtostrov area (Kholmogorsky district of the Arkhangelsk region): Troitsky and Bogoyavlensky, about their architects, about prototypes, constructive and decorative features of buildings and their tragic fate.
